Song: Holy is the Lord

And together we sing
Ev'ryone sing

Holy is the Lord God Almighty
The earth is filled with His glory
Holy is the Lord God Almighty
The earth is filled with His glory
The earth is filled with His glory

We stand and lift up our hands
For the joy of the Lord is our strength
We bow down and worship Him now
How great how awesome is He

It is rising up all around
It's the anthem of the Lord's renown
It's rising up all around
It's the anthem of the Lord's renown

Song: Build My Life

Worthy of ev'ry song we could ever sing
Worthy of all the praise we could ever bring
Worthy of ev'ry breath we could ever breathe
We live for You

Jesus the name above ev'ry other name
Jesus the only one who could ever save
Worthy of ev'ry breath we could ever breathe
We live for You
We live for You

Holy there is no one like You
There is none besides You
Open up my eyes in wonder and show me who You are
And fill me with Your heart
And lead me in Your love to those around me

I will build my life upon Your love
It is a firm foundation
I will put my trust in You alone
And I will not be shaken

A Prayer of Grounding – Matthew 6:8-13

For your Father knows what you need before you ask Him.

Pray then like this:
“Our Father in heaven
Hallowed be your name
Your Kingdom Come
Your will be done, on earth as it is in heaven

Give us this day our daily bread
And forgive us our debts, as we also have forgiven our debtors
And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil.

For Yours is the kingdom and the power and the glory forever. Amen.”

A Prayer of Yielding

Open your hands to God and breathe with each line.

“I am here.”

“I am open to you, Jesus.”

Song: What a Beautiful Name

You were the Word at the beginning
One with God the Lord Most High
Your hidden glory in creation
Now revealed in You our Christ

What a beautiful Name it is
What a beautiful Name it is
The Name of Jesus Christ my King
What a beautiful Name it is
Nothing compares to this
What a beautiful Name it is
The Name of Jesus

You didn't want heaven without us
So Jesus You brought heaven down
My sin was great Your love was greater
What could separate us now

What a wonderful Name it is
What a wonderful Name it is
The Name of Jesus Christ my King
What a wonderful Name it is
Nothing compares to this
What a wonderful Name it is
The Name of Jesus
What a wonderful Name it is
The Name of Jesus

Death could not hold You
The veil tore before You
You silence the boast of sin and grave
The heavens are roaring
The praise of Your glory
For You are raised to life again

You have no rival
You have no equal
Now and forever God You reign
Yours is the kingdom
Yours is the glory
Yours is the Name above all names

What a powerful Name it is
What a powerful Name it is
The Name of Jesus Christ my King
What a powerful Name it is
Nothing can stand against
What a powerful Name it is
The Name of Jesus

What a powerful Name it is
The Name of Jesus
What a powerful Name it is
The Name of Jesus

A Prayer of Honesty

Dear God:
“Prayer for me is _________. And I need help with __________.
Lord, teach us to pray.”

A Prayer of Request: Teach Us to Pray

Lord Jesus,
We’ve been taught quite well how to watch TV, scroll on our phones and binge our favorite shows.
We’ve been taught how to shop and acquire more things.
We’ve been taught how to please people, fit in and keep up appearances.

Lord Jesus,
Teach us how to pray.

We’ve been taught how to live in fear, jealousy and self-protection.
We’ve been taught how to do religious activities.
We’ve been taught to hate, judge, lie and condemn.

Lord Jesus,
Teach us how to pray.

Song: Stronger

You are stronger
You are stronger
Sin is broken

You have saved me
It is written
Christ is risen
Jesus You are Lord of all

There is Love that came for us
Humbled to a sinner's cross
You broke my shame and sinfulness
You rose again victorious

Faithfulness none can deny
Through the storm and through the fire
There is truth that sets me free
Jesus Christ who lives in me

No beginning and no end
You're my hope and my defense
You came to seek and save the lost
You paid it all upon the cross

So let Your Name be lifted higher
Be lifted higher
Be lifted higher

A Prayer of Movement

“When I look around, I notice Your ____ in the ______.”

Song: Your Love Awakens Me

There were walls between us
By the cross You came and broke them down
You broke them down
And there were chains around us
By Your grace we are no longer bound
No longer bound

You called me out of the grave
You called me into the light
You called my name and then my heart came alive

Your love is greater
Your love is stronger
Your love awakens awakens awakens me

Feel the darkness shaking
All the dead are coming back to life
I'm back to life
Hear the song awaken

All creation singing we're alive
'Cause You're alive

And what a love we've found
Death can't hold us down
We shout it out
We're alive 'cause You're alive

Your love awakens me
Your love is greater
Your love is stronger
You're love awakens awakens awakens me

A Prayer of Embodiment

How majestic is Your name in all the Earth

We behold the breaking dawn
The light that shines over everyone
We look to You

Oh Lord

We behold the rising sun
The Earth awaits, Your hope has come
We look to You

How majestic is Your name in all the Earth

Oh oh oh our Lord

How majestic is Your name in all the Earth

Oh, Your name is a light in the darkness
Oh, Your name is the word of truth
Oh, Your name
Oh, Your name

Blessed Be Your Name

Blessed Be Your Name
In the land that is plentiful
Where Your streams of abundance flow
Blessed be Your name

Blessed Be Your name
When I'm found in the desert place
Though I walk through the wilderness
Blessed Be Your name

Every blessing You pour out, I'll
Turn back to praise
When the darkness closes in, Lord
Still I will say

Blessed be the name of the Lord
Blessed be Your name
Blessed be the name of the Lord
Blessed be Your glorious name

Blessed be Your name
When the sun's shining down on me
When the world's 'all as it should be'
Blessed be Your name

Blessed be Your name
On the road marked with suffering
Though there's pain in the offering
Blessed be Your name

Every blessing You pour out I'll
Turn back to praise
When the darkness closes in, Lord
Still I will say

Blessed be the name of the Lord
Blessed be Your name
Blessed be the name of the Lord
Blessed be Your glorious name

You give and take away
You give and take away
My heart will choose to say
Lord blessed be Your name

Psalm 124

Our Help Is in the Name of the Lord

(A Song of Ascents. Of David.)

If it had not been the Lord who was on our side—
let Israel now say—if it had not been the Lord who was on our side
when people rose up against us,then they would have swallowed us up alive,
when their anger was kindled against us;then the flood would have swept us away,
the torrent would have gone over us;then over us would have gone
    the raging waters.

Blessed be the Lord,
    who has not given us
as prey to their teeth! We have escaped like a bird
    from the snare of the fowlers;
the snare is broken,
    and we have escaped!

Our help is in the name of the Lord,
    who made heaven and earth.

King of My Heart

Let the King of my heart
Be the mountain where I run
The fountain I drink from
Oh, He is my song

Let the King of my heart
Be the shadow where I hide
The ransom for my life
Oh, He is my song

'Cause You are good
You are good, oh oh

You are good
You are good, oh oh
You are good
You are good, oh oh
You are good
You are good, oh oh

And let the King of my heart
Be the wind inside my sails
The anchor in the waves
Oh oh, He is my song

Let the King of my heart
Be the fire inside my veins
The echo of my days
Oh oh, He is my song

You're never gonna let
You're never gonna let me down
And You're never gonna let
You're never gonna let me down
You're never gonna let
You're never gonna let me down
You're never gonna let
You're never gonna let me down

God is For Us

We won't fear the battle, we won't fear the night
We will walk the valley with You by our side
You will go before us, You will lead the way
We have found a refuge, only You can save

Sing with joy now, our God is for us
The Father's love is a strong and mighty fortress
Raise your voice now, no love is greater
Who can stand against us if our God is for us

Even when I stumble, even when I fall
Even when I turn back, still Your love is sure
You will not abandon, You will not forsake
You will cheer me onward with never-ending grace

Sing with joy now, our God is for us
The Father's love is a strong and mighty fortress
Raise your voice now, no love is greater
Who can stand against us if our God is for us

Neither height nor depth can separate us
Hell and death will not defeat us
He who gave His son to free us
Holds me in His love

Neither height nor depth can separate us
Hell and death will not defeat us
He who gave His son to free us
Holds me in His love

Sing with joy now, our God is for us
The Father's love is a strong and mighty fortress
Raise your voice now, no love is greater
Who can stand against us if our God is for us

"All Together Different" - Philippians

The book of Philippians captures the beautiful relationship between the Apostle Paul and the dearly loved church community in Philippi. Rather than bearing the marks of rebuke, challenge or drastic correction, this letter paints a picture of a community learning how to walk in the humble way of Jesus as a partner with Paul for the sake of God’s kingdom. This kind of life is counter-cultural in so many ways, but it serves as encouragement that it is possible to know joy, live humbly and live in community in a way that displays the redemption of heaven on earth. Participation in re-enacting the Jesus story is for everyone and stands as “all-together different.”

Digital Liturgy July 5.png

Introduction

While our option to gather at Madison Elementary on Sundays has been stopped for the time being, our mission as a church remains the same: we are a community of disciples who are being formed into the image of Jesus for the sake of the world.

Today we would like to lead you through a guided liturgy that will become our new normal for the next season of our church life together. In addition to being united in the gospel and relationships (which aren’t going away), another layer of connection can be found in our common practice and habits. By studying the same Bible passages, singing the same songs and repeating the same prayers, we are reminded of our connection that goes far beyond a common meeting space. Be creative and look for ways to incorporate children and adults of all ages who are in the room as readers and participants.

We hope that as you walk through this, you will be encouraged by God to place your hope in Him and to continue to seize the chances to be and make disciples wherever you are.

REALITY Kids Materials

Each week, our regular Reality Kids curriculum which includes age specific videos, lessons and activities is posted on Realm for you and your children to use. You can find all the information and links on Realm - HERE

Gather Together

Welcome to another Sunday filled with resurrection hope! Reality family, we have the chance today to worship the Triune God - Father, Son and Holy Spirit.

Call to Worship

From John’s Gospel in chapter 4, verses 21-24, “Woman,” Jesus replied, “believe me, a time is coming when you will worship the Father neither on this mountain nor in Jerusalem. You Samaritans worship what you do not know; we worship what we do know, for salvation is from the Jews. Yet a time is coming and has now come when the true worshipers will worship the Father in the Spirit and in truth, for they are the kind of worshipers the Father seeks. God is spirit, and his worshipers must worship in the Spirit and in truth.”

Sing Together

“Oh give thanks to the Lord; call upon his name;

make known his deeds among the peoples!

Sing to him, sing praises to him;

tell of all his wondrous works!”

(Psalm 105:1-2, ESV)

Singing together is a gift that allows us to both rehearse what is true and to express the cry of our soul in a unique way. Feel free to either sing along with the following playlist or have someone in the room lead you on an instrument or a cappella.

“My Lighthouse”
“Build Your Kingdom Here”
“The Joy of the Lord is My Strength”

PRAY TOGETHER

“Have mercy on me, O God,

    according to your steadfast love;

according to your abundant mercy

    blot out my transgressions.

Wash me thoroughly from my iniquity,

and cleanse me from my sin!” (Psalm 51:1, ESV)

Corporate Confession & Assurance

Confessing our current sins is important to both our individual fellowship and our corporate holiness. Jesus expects his followers to ask God to forgive their current sins because sin damages fellowship with Him.  Our public confession is followed with a scriptural promise of pardon to assure our hearts together that God hears and forgives us.

Corporate Prayer of Confession:

You are the everything we desire,

the everything we do not deserve.

You are the love we long to find,

the peace beyond imagining.

You are the breath of life

enlivening the hardest heart.

You are the vibrant color

illuminating the darkest dawn.

You are the truth that calls

in quiet whisper and through storm.

You are the precious moment

we reach out and touch the divine.

For those days when we forget, forgive us.

When life distracts and focus shifts, forgive us.

When self imposes its own will, forgive us.

When our words and motives fail to please, forgive us.

Embrace and enfold us, we pray,

in sweet and loving fellowship with you. Amen.

Assurance of Pardon:

Church, hear and receive the Good News that, “We know how much God loves us, and we have put our trust in his love.  God is love, and all who live in love live in God, and God lives in them. And as we live in God, our love grows more perfect. So we will not be afraid on the day of judgment, but we can face him with confidence because we live like Jesus here in this world.  Such love has no fear, because perfect love expels all fear. If we are afraid, it is for fear of punishment, and this shows that we have not fully experienced his perfect love.  We love each other because he loved us first.”  (1 John 4:16-19, NLT)

LEARN TOGETHER

Discussion Q’s

  • What is the source of your contentment? How closely tied is it to your circumstances?

  • Who among you needs your physical presence? A gift? Money? Who could benefit by your showing up?

  • Are you willing to share in the troubles of others? Who specifically this week?

CELEBRATE & REMEMBER TOGETHER

If you have the means to celebrate communion together, please do so - remembering the broken body and shed blood of Jesus for you.  Thanks be to God!

“For I received from the Lord what I also delivered to you, that the Lord Jesus on the night when he was betrayed took bread, and when he had given thanks, he broke it, and said, ‘This is my body, which is for you. Do this in remembrance of me.’ In the same way also he took the cup, after supper, saying, ‘This cup is the new covenant in my blood. Do this, as often as you drink it, in remembrance of me.’ For as often as you eat this bread and drink the cup, you proclaim the Lord's death until he comes.” (1 Corinthians 11:23-26, ESV)

ADVENTURE TOGETHER

In this next section, begin to dream together: what does it look like for you to be the church this week where God has placed you? What does that look like on your block, your street, at your work, in your family and with your friendships?

We would love to hear your ideas and suggestions on how you can be the Body of Christ in this new and unprecedented time. Feel free to share your ideas by emailing the staff or by posting on Realm.

Benediction - Prayer of Sending

“Now to him who is able to keep you from stumbling and to present you blameless before the presence of his glory with great joy, to the only God, our Savior, through Jesus Christ our Lord, be glory, majesty, dominion, and authority, before all time and now and forever. Amen.” (Jude 24-25, ESV)

 Giving

Our giving at Reality is primarily an act of worship- a response to the generosity of Jesus towards us.

Gather Together

Welcome to another Sunday filled with resurrection hope! Reality family, we have the chance today to worship the Triune God - Father, Son and Holy Spirit.

Call to Worship

Let us pray: Through our hymns and songs, our prayer and meditation, the joining of our lives in fellowship near and far, we worship you Father, Son and Holy Spirit. Enfold us in your love, and empower our worship that your name might be glorified in this place and in our lives.

Sing Together

“Make a joyful noise to the LORD, all the earth! Serve the LORD with gladness! Come into his presence with singing!  Know that the LORD, he is God! It is he who made us, and we are his; we are his people, and the sheep of his pasture.” (Psalm 100:1-3 ESV)

Singing together is a gift that allows us to both rehearse what is true and to express the cry of our soul in a unique way. Feel free to either sing along with the following playlist or have someone in the room lead you on an instrument or a cappella.

“10,000 Reasons”
“God With Us”
“Build My Life”

PRAY TOGETHER

“I acknowledged my sin to you and did not cover my iniquity; I said, ‘I will confess my transgressions to the Lord,’ and you forgave the iniquity of my sin.” (Psalm 32:5, ESV)

We want to serve you in this world,

be the ones through whom

many will be drawn to the Light,

show your love where there

is a need for love to be shown,

be your touch where there

are broken lives to be made whole,

speak your word in faith

against those who deny your power;

and yet we confess

we hesitate to speak your name,

are daily tempted

to listen to this world’s voice.

So we come again

to your feet, and in faith proclaim

‘Thanks be to God, who forgives us

through Jesus Christ our Lord!’

Assurance of Pardon:

See how great a love the Father has bestowed on us, that we would be called children of God; and such we are.  And everyone who has this hope fixed on Him purifies himself, just as He is pure.”  (1 John 3:1, 3; NASB)

Discussion Q’s

  • How have you been impacted by conflict among believers in the church?

  • Where is there need to stand in agreement with others? What is the attitude of your heart toward it?

  • Is there someone you need to ask for forgiveness before we met? What step can you make this week?

CELEBRATE & REMEMBER TOGETHER

If you have the means to celebrate communion together, please do so - remembering the broken body and shed blood of Jesus for you.  Thanks be to God!

Jesus said to them, “I am the bread of life; whoever comes to me shall not hunger, and whoever believes in me shall never thirst.”  (John 6:35, ESV)

Gather Together

Reality Family, this morning as we worship, we look to Jesus and are reminded of His goodness and grace to us. Let’s hear and declare this truth in Colossians 1 that encourages us to see Christ for who He is, our King of Kings.

Call to Worship

He is the image of the invisible God, the firstborn of all creation. For by him all things were created, in heaven and on earth, visible and invisible, whether thrones or dominions or rulers or authorities—all things were created through him and for him. And he is before all things, and in him all things hold together.  And he is the head of the body, the church. He is the beginning, the firstborn from the dead, that in everything he might be preeminent. For in him all the fullness of God was pleased to dwell, and through him to reconcile to himself all things, whether on earth or in heaven, making peace by the blood of his cross.” (Colossians 1:15-20)

Sing Together

“Oh give thanks to the Lord; call upon his name; make known his deeds among the peoples! Sing to him, sing praises to him; tell of all his wondrous works! Glory in his holy name; let the hearts of those who seek the Lord rejoice!”  (Psalm 105:1-3, ESV)

Singing together is a gift that allows us to both rehearse what is true and to express the cry of our soul in a unique way. Feel free to either sing along with the following playlist or have someone in the room lead you on an instrument or a cappella.

“Welcome to the Place of Level Ground”
”O For A Thousand Tongues to Sing”
“Just As I Am”

PRAY TOGETHER

“God’s love has been poured into our hearts

through the gift of the Holy Spirit.

The proof of God’s amazing love is this:

While we were sinners Christ died for us.

Because we have faith in him,

we dare to approach God in confidence.” (Rom. 5:5, 8; Heb. 4:16)

Corporate Confession & Assurance

We pray and confess in confidence that our Lord God will not refuse or cast out those who come trusting in the complete work and grace of Jesus Christ.  We recognize that our glorious God acts first. It is by acknowledging His gracious forgiveness that we are moved to repentance and confession.

Corporate Prayer of Confession:

All:

We want to serve you in this world,

be the ones through whom

many will be drawn to the Light,

show your love where there

is a need for love to be shown,

be your touch where there

are broken lives to be made whole,

speak your word in faith

against those who deny your power;

and yet we confess

we hesitate to speak your name,

are daily tempted

to listen to this world’s voice.

So we come again

‘Thanks be to God, who forgives us

through Jesus Christ our Lord!’

Assurance of Pardon:

  • What’s your “one thing?” How would other people answer that about you?

  • Who are your examples? Who are you looking to? Listening to? Watching?

My soul makes its boast in the Lord; let the humble hear and be glad.

Oh, magnify the Lord with me, and let us exalt his name together!”

Sing Together

“Oh come, let us sing to the Lord;

Let us come into his presence with thanksgiving;

let us make a joyful noise to him with songs of praise!.” (Psalm 95:1-2, ESV)

blot out the stain of my sins.

Wash me clean from my guilt.

Purify me from my sin.” (Psalm 51:1-2, NLT)

Corporate Confession & Assurance

We pray and confess in confidence that our Lord God will not refuse or cast out those who come trusting in the complete work and grace of Jesus Christ.  We recognize that our glorious God acts first. It is by acknowledging His gracious forgiveness that we are moved to repentance and confession.

Corporate Prayer of Confession:

All:  Awesome and compassionate God,

You have loved us with unfailing, self-giving mercy,

but we have not loved you.

You constantly call us, but we do not listen.

You ask us to love, but we walk away from neighbors in need,

wrapped in our own concerns.

We condone evil, prejudice, warfare, and greed.

God of grace, as you come to us in mercy,

we repent in spirit and in truth,

admit our sin, and gratefully receive your forgiveness

through Jesus Christ our Redeemer. Amen.

Assurance of Pardon:

Hear and receive the Good News from Romans 8:31-32:

“If God is for us, who can be against us? He who did not spare his own Son, but gave him up for us all—how will he not also, along with him, graciously give us all things?”

And 2 Peter 1:3:

“His divine power has given us everything we need for a godly life through our knowledge of him who called us by his own glory and goodness.”

Discussion Q’s

  • Which broken boundary markers do you tend to boast in? National heritage? Religious heritage? Personal achievement?

  • What are you most confident in? What might you need to confess?

  • What would it look like for you to rejoice as an activity (not a feeling)- as a defiant act of resistance this week?

  • What about Jesus makes Him have surpassing worth to you?

CELEBRATE & REMEMBER TOGETHER

If you have the means to celebrate communion together, please do so - remembering the broken body and shed blood of Jesus for you. Thanks be to God!

“For Christ also suffered once for sins, the righteous for the unrighteous, to bring you to God. He was put to death in the body but made alive in the Spirit.” (1 Peter 3:18, NIV)

Gather Together

Scripture says we are to bless the Lord at all times. As His bride we have the unique opportunity to praise His name together and make much of Him. We read Psalm 34:1-3 to be reminded and encouraged to magnify the Lord wherever we are today.

Call to Worship

“I will bless the Lord at all times; his praise shall continually be in my mouth.

My soul makes its boast in the Lord; let the humble hear and be glad.

Oh, magnify the Lord with me, and let us exalt his name together!”

Sing Together

“Oh come, let us sing to the Lord;

let us make a joyful noise to the rock of our salvation!

Let us come into his presence with thanksgiving;

let us make a joyful noise to him with songs of praise!.” (Psalm 95:1-2, ESV)

Singing together is a gift that allows us to both rehearse what is true and to express the cry of our soul in a unique way. Feel free to either sing along with the following video or have someone in the room lead you on an instrument or a cappella.

“The Lion and the Lamb”
“Before the Throne of God Above”
“God is For Us”

Discussion Q’s

  • What gets in the way of you seeking the interests of others- the world, the flesh the devil?

  • Do you fall into the trap of dividing people into categories- those who give, those who receive? Those who host, those who show up? If so, what kind of categories do you put yourself in? Is there something the Spirit wants to do about those?

  • Do you ever find yourself living out of a scarcity mindset instead of an abundance mindset

  • How have others demonstrated the gospel to you? How have you been served? Has the Spirit brought to mind creative ways you can seek the interests of others? Any specific people brought to mind? Unseen people?

  • How do the ideas of sacrifice and cost intersect with you? What role does joy have in this for you?

Gather Together

Welcome to another Sunday filled with resurrection hope! Reality family, we have the chance today to worship the Triune God- Father, Son and Holy Spirit.

Call to Worship

Therefore, I urge you, brothers and sisters, in view of God’s mercy, to offer your bodies as a living sacrifice, holy and pleasing to God—this is your true and proper worship. 2 Do not conform to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind. Then you will be able to test and approve what God’s will is—his good, pleasing and perfect will.” (Romans 12:1-2, NIV)

Sing Together

“Come, let us sing to the Lord! Let us shout joyfully to the Rock of our salvation. Let us come to him with thanksgiving. Let us sing psalms of praise to him. For the Lord is a great God, a great King above all gods. He holds in his hands the depths of the earth and the mightiest mountains. The sea belongs to him, for he made it. His hands formed the dry land, too. Come, let us worship and bow down. Let us kneel before the Lord our maker, for he is our God. We are the people he watches over, the flock under his care.” (Psalm 95:1-8, NLT)

Singing together is a gift that allows us to both rehearse what is true and to express the cry of our soul in a unique way. Feel free to either sing along with the following video or have someone in the room lead you on an instrument or a cappella.

“Waiting Here for You”
“The Passion”
“Build My Life”

PRAY TOGETHER

“Have mercy on me, O God,

   according to your steadfast love;

according to your abundant mercy

    blot out my transgressions.

Wash me thoroughly from my iniquity,

and cleanse me from my sin!” (Psalm 51:1, ESV)

Corporate Confession & Assurance

Paul tells us in Ephesians that we were dead in our transgressions and sins…
But today is a celebration because when there was nothing that we could do to resuscitate ourselves… God made us alive with Christ! Today we admit our need for Him and celebrate the brand new life he brings!

Corporate Prayer of Confession:

All:  Lord God, your love for humankind, present in the beginning of all things,
extends throughout history and touches even my life.
Your love sees failings and forgives.
Your love feels pain and wipes away our tears.
Your love knows grief, and comforts the sorrowful.
Your love sees sin and still loves the sinner.
Forgive us when we fail to live lives that reflect your love.
Forgive us the many times when we take for granted all that you have done for us.
Transform us, through your Spirit, and empower us to serve you this day and all days.

Amen.

Assurance of Pardon:

Hear and declare the Good News from Psalm 103:8-12: “The LORD is compassionate and gracious, slow to anger, abounding in love. He will not always accuse, nor will he harbor his anger forever; he does not treat us as our sins deserve or repay us according to our iniquities. For as high as the heavens are above the earth, so great is his love for those who fear him; as far as the east is from the west, so far has he removed our transgressions from us.

Digital Liturgy April 26.png

You can find all the information and links on Realm - HERE.

Once you are done with the lesson, enjoy the video and activity with Kailyn below.

Gather Together

Welcome to another Sunday filled with resurrection hope! Reality family, we have the chance today to worship the Triune God- Father, Son and Holy Spirit.

Call to Worship

I will give thanks to the Lord with my whole heart;
I will recount all of your wonderful deeds.
I will be glad and exult in you;
I will sing praise to your name, O Most High
.” (Psalm 9:1-2, ESV)

Sing Together

“Let the word of Christ dwell in you richly, teaching and admonishing one another in all wisdom, singing psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, with thankfulness in your hearts to God” (Colossians 3:16, ESV)

Singing together is a gift that allows us to both rehearse what is true and to express the cry of our soul in a unique way. Feel free to either sing along with the following playlist or have someone in the room lead you on an instrument or a cappella.

“Build My Life (Worthy)”
“What a Beautiful Name”
“In Christ Alone”

PRAY TOGETHER

“Humble yourself, therefore, under the mighty hand of God so that at the proper time he may exalt you, casting all your anxieties on him, because he cares for you.” (1 Peter 5:5-6, ESV)

Leader:      Lord, bring new love where our hearts have become hard.
All:         Bring forgiveness where we feel hurt and where we have hurt others.

Leader:      Bring mercy when we are overwhelmed by our mistakes.
All:          Bring resurrection power where we lack the strength to change.

Leader:      Bring your nearness when we are bored or anxious.
All:         Bring new life where we are weak and tired.

Leader:      Give us today a grace-filled encounter with your resurrected life.
All:         Fill us with joy, confidence, and hope as we live in your death-defeating love.

Assurance of Pardon:

Reader
: Paul tells us in 1 Corinthians 15 that: “’Death has been swallowed up in victory… Where, O death, is your victory? Where, O death, is your sting?’ The sting of death is sin, and the power of sin is the law. But thanks be to God, who gives us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ!”

Leader:      Friends, by the cross and by His resurrection, Jesus offers us new life and a brand new beginning!

All:         Amen!

Discussion Q’s

  • Which part of the Jesus curve do you struggle to face? What comes more easily to you? Descent/Ascent- Loss of power, control, reputation, convenience, freedom, and pride? Ascension and glory?

  • What circumstance are you facing that needs to be reconsidered in light of the Christ Hymn?

  • Which part of Jesus’ journey (descent and ascension) stirs you to worship and praise Him more today?

  • What might confession look like? Where do you need to tell God and others the truth?

Celebrate & Remember Together

If you have the means to celebrate communion together, please do so - remembering the broken body and shed blood of Jesus for you.

Gather Together

Welcome to Easter Sunday and the celebration of our resurrected Savior! Reality family, we have the chance today to remember that the tomb is empty, death is defeated and there is hope of new creation in Christ.

Call to Worship

1 But on the first day of the week, at early dawn, they went to the tomb, taking the spices they had prepared. And they found the stone rolled away from the tomb, but when they went in they did not find the body of the Lord Jesus. While they were perplexed about this, behold, two men stood by them in dazzling apparel. And as they were frightened and bowed their faces to the ground, the men said to them, “Why do you seek the living among the dead? He is not here, but has risen. Remember how he told you, while he was still in Galilee, that the Son of Man must be delivered into the hands of sinful men and be crucified and on the third day rise.” (Luke 24:1-7, ESV)

Gather Together

Welcome to our celebration of Holy Week. Reality family, we have the opportunity to ponder the life, death and resurrection of Jesus and walk through the finals days before His great sacrifice. On this day when we remember Jesus’ triumphal entry into Jerusalem, read the following psalm.

Call to Worship

“Lift up your heads, O gates! And be lifted up, O ancient doors, that the King of glory may come in. Who is this King of glory? The LORD, strong and mighty, the LORD, mighty in battle! Lift up your heads, O gates! And lift them up, O ancient doors, that the King of glory may come in. Who is this King of glory? The LORD of hosts, he is the King of glory!” (Psalm 24:7-10, ESV)

Sing Together

”He is Exalted”

PRAY TOGETHER

“Humble yourself, therefore, under the mighty hand of God so that at the proper time he may exalt you, casting all your anxieties on him, because he cares for you.” (1 Peter 5:5-6, ESV)

Corporate Confession & Assurance

Gracious God, we confess that we have longed too much for the comforts of this world. We have loved the gifts more than the giver. In your mercy, help us to see that all the things we pine for are shadows, but you are substance; that they are quicksands, but you are mountain; that they are shifting, but you are anchor. We plead your forgiveness on the merits of Jesus Christ. Accept his worthiness for our unworthiness, his sinlessness for our transgressions, his fullness for our emptiness, his glory for our shame, his righteousness for our dead works, his death for our life. We pray in Jesus’s name. Amen.

Hear the good news: The story of Jesus is proof that God’s faithfulness to us doesn’t hinge on our perfection, our performance, or our consistency. If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just, and will forgive our sins and wash away all of our unrighteousness. Friends, believe and declare the good news of the gospel– In Christ Jesus we are forgiven! Amen!

"Catch the Wind" - Romans 8

“Romans 8 is a veritable feast of Pauline themes that carries the power of the gospel in every breath. If the church would hoist its sails and catch the wind of Romans 8, there’s no telling what might happen.” NT Wright

In the middle of his letter to the Romans, the Apostle Paul unpacks some of the greatest news that humanity has ever been told. Because of the work of Jesus, we have life in the Spirit with full privileges as beloved children of God. This changes our past, anchors our present and reorients our future around the fullness of the gospel and the Kingdom of God. With each passing line, we are invited deeper into the riches of true relational renewal so that we may live out the abundant life God has already secured. For us and the world, true opportunity awaits.

3. In what ways do you try to conquer all alone rather than in community with others?

4. Practice: turn to others around you in the room and speak into their life. What do you notice in them that is their unique contribution to the Kingdom? How can you call out the love of God in them and over them?
