Harbor church gatherings - Beginning April 11, 2021

Because of their plans to bring students back in the building, the Olympia School District has indefinitely suspended all outside facility rentals.  As a result, we have found ourselves with the need to find a new location.

After lots of exploration, conversation and prayer, the elders have decided that it's best for the church to temporarily move our Sunday gatherings to 4 PM so that we can meet at Harbor Church's building. We realize that this is a major schedule change that will impact every person and family differently, but it seems to be the best option we have. Not only will we have a beautiful sanctuary to gather in, we will also have tremendous space for our kids, a robust camera/internet setup for a solid livestream, and very minimal set up/tear down.

Harbor has even offered for us to be able to store some of our own gear there in the building which eliminates the need for our trailer. This set up will allow a minimal strain on our staff and volunteer teams so that we can continue to focus on our mission of being and making disciples- pursuing intimacy with God, with others, for others.  After having bounced around for a few months, we are looking forward to having a consistent Sunday gathering schedule and plan to keep this arrangement through  the end of August. Over the next few months, we will continue to explore other short and long term building options.

As has been named, this may not be the ideal time for everyone in our community. We will continue to have a livestream each week and will have video available afterwards on our Facebook, YouTube, Vimeo page and website. As our church life and discipleship groups begin to re-open this spring, we hope that everyone (including those that may not be able to make a 4 PM Sunday gathering) will engage the community of our church outside of Sundays. We are also asking you to pray about how a new time and location may work for inviting your neighbors and friends who may not have done a Sunday morning time.

All in all, we are super grateful for the partnership of Harbor Church and their generous offer to host us.
